YRF Titles Ahaan Panday-Sharvari Film 'Beparwah', Sets March 26, 2027 Release

Yash Raj Films on Monday announced the title of its upcoming romantic action-drama starring Ahaan Panday and Sharvari: Beparwah. The film, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and produced by Aditya Chopra, will arrive in cinemas worldwide on March 26, 2027.

The announcement was made with a teaser poster, unveiled exactly five months before the film's release date. The timing was deliberate, marking the start of the countdown to a film that Yash Raj Films is positioning as one of its major theatrical releases of 2027.

Beparwah brings together two of Hindi cinema's most watched young stars for the first time. Ahaan Panday rose to prominence with Saiyaara, the musical romance directed by Mohit Suri in which he starred opposite Aneet Padda. That film turned him into one of the industry's most talked-about newcomers, and Beparwah is his second film with Yash Raj Films.

Sharvari, meanwhile, has been steadily building her position in Hindi cinema. She made her debut with Bunty Aur Babli 2 in 2021, broke through with the horror-comedy Munjya in 2024, and has since added a string of major projects to her filmography, including Vedaa and Alpha, the latter in which she shared top billing with Alia Bhatt. Her next film, Prem Mol Liya, directed by Sooraj Barjatya, is also in the pipeline.

The pairing is the film's central selling point. Both actors belong to a generation of performers who have grown up with the Yash Raj Films banner, and both have audiences that skew young. Putting them together in a romantic action-drama, a genre that blends emotional storytelling with large-scale set pieces, is a calculated attempt to reach the widest possible theatrical audience.

The teaser poster offers the first glimpse of that blend. In the image, Ahaan is seen holding a gun, while Sharvari carries a guitar, set against a rugged backdrop. The two stand close together, their foreheads touching, in a pose that is romantic yet intense. The title is written in bold letters, accompanied by the tagline "Fearless in Love."

That tagline is also the caption Yash Raj Films used on social media to announce the film: "Fearless in love... Beparwah in cinemas on 26th March 2027." The phrase captures the film's promise, a love story in which the characters are unafraid, set against a world of action and conflict.

The film also stars Aaishvary Thackeray and Bobby Deol. Thackeray, who drew attention for his performance in Anurag Kashyap's Nishaanchi, has been cast as the antagonist opposite Panday, setting up a rivalry that is expected to drive much of the film's dramatic tension. Deol's presence adds further weight to the cast, bringing an experienced performer into a film led by younger stars.

Beparwah marks Ali Abbas Zafar's return to Yash Raj Films, the banner he regards as his alma mater. It is his fifth collaboration with the production house, following Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Gunday, Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai. Those films span romantic comedy, crime drama, sports drama and spy thriller, and two of them, Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai, both starring Salman Khan, emerged as major commercial successes.

Zafar's recent work outside the Yash Raj fold includes Jogi, Bloody Daddy and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, the last of which paired Akshay Kumar with Tiger Shroff. His return to Yash Raj Films is therefore significant, reuniting a director known for blending action with emotional stakes with the studio where he made his biggest hits.

The film has been extensively shot in the United Kingdom, with additional work on sets in India. The international locations are part of the film's scale, giving the romantic action-drama a visual breadth that matches its ambitions. Reports from the production suggest that Panday undertook intensive training for the role, including boxing, mixed martial arts and strength training, to present him as a young man capable of taking on opponents with sheer physical force.

That preparation points to the film's action credentials. While the romance between the leads is at its heart, Beparwah is not being sold as a gentle love story. The gun in the poster, the antagonist's role and the director's track record all suggest a film in which love and violence are closely intertwined, and in which the hero's fearlessness is tested in both arenas.

The release date is also significant. March 26, 2027, falls on Good Friday, a holiday that has traditionally been a strong window for Hindi film releases. By choosing that date, Yash Raj Films is betting that Beparwah can draw family audiences over an extended weekend, and that its combination of romance and action will appeal across age groups.

For Ahaan Panday, the film is a test of whether the success of Saiyaara can be repeated in a different genre. His debut was a musical romance, a genre in which emotion and music carry the film. Beparwah asks him to carry action sequences as well, and to hold his own against an antagonist played by Thackeray. It is a step up in scale, and a sign of the confidence Yash Raj Films has in him.

For Sharvari, the film continues a run of prominent roles that has made her one of the most in-demand young actresses in the industry. After Munjya and Vedaa, and her top billing in Alpha, Beparwah gives her a romantic lead in a major studio production, alongside a co-star with whom she has not previously worked. The freshness of the pairing is part of its appeal.

For Yash Raj Films, the film fits a broader strategy of backing theatrical releases led by young stars, even as the industry continues to adjust to changing viewing habits. The studio has a long history of launching and nurturing talent, and Beparwah follows that pattern, pairing two rising performers with an established director and a major release window.

The announcement has already generated considerable buzz among fans, many of whom have predicted another blockbuster for Panday following Saiyaara's success. That enthusiasm is encouraging for the makers, but it also raises expectations. Five months of anticipation is a long time, and the film will need to sustain interest through teasers, trailers and music releases before it reaches cinemas.

For now, the title itself is the news. Beparwah, a word that suggests carefree boldness, sets the tone for a film that its makers describe as fearless in love. Whether it lives up to that promise will become clear on March 26, 2027, when audiences finally get to see Ahaan Panday and Sharvari together on screen.
